The French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), in partnership with ATEE (Association Technique Énergie Environnement), recently launched PACTE Industrie, an ambitious CEE program designed to better support manufacturers in their low-carbon transition, regardless of how advanced they are in this area. Entitled to financial aid, the scheme offers the opportunity to implement a decarbonization trajectory, supported at strategic and operational levels by referenced experts.
The PACTE Industrie is aimed at all companies wishing to embark on a low-carbon transition process at site or group level. Its aim is to initiate a change of scale in the reduction of greenhouse gases and the energy transition of industry. Decarbonizing the sector has become a major challenge for the ecological transition: in France, industry consumes around 20% of final energy consumption, and accounts for almost 20% of the country's greenhouse gas emissions. Against a backdrop of global climate change, and in order to meet ambitious European and national decarbonization targets, every industrial company must now integrate environmental objectives at the heart of its business strategy.
The National Low-Carbon Strategy as a frame of reference
At international level, the fight against climate disruption is framed by the Paris Agreement, signed by 194 countries, including France. To meet its commitments, France has adopted a National Low-Carbon Strategy (Stratégie Nationale Bas Carbone - SNBC), which calls for a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 1990 levels, with a view to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 at the latest. An ambitious strategy, engaging the contribution of manufacturers.
Having a decarbonization strategy is no easy task. Whether starting out or reinforcing existing actions, many business leaders lack information or don't know where to begin. That's what PACTE Industrie is all about structuring your approach, then helping you choose appropriate actions, whatever the size of your structure, your business and your progress in decarbonation.
PACTE Industrie offers professional training and support to meet the different needs of manufacturers, whether it's a question of upgrading your teams' skills, building your strategy, assessing your actions, identifying energy efficiency levers, preparing the associated investments or implementing the ISO 50001 standard. In short, a range of solutions to choose from, depending on your profile as a " decarbonizer ".
With a budget of 49 million euros over three years, the scheme represents a tremendous opportunity for willing companies to ease the costs of their transition. At a time when decarbonization of your activities is essential, this is a good opportunity to comply with regulatory requirements. But it's not just that: it's also about maintaining your competitiveness at a time when energy bills for professionals are rising, modernizing your image by demonstrating your environmental commitments, and shaping your company's future on the horizon of a decarbonized world. In short, a virtuous approach that creates long-term value and is open to significant subsidies. Training and coaching can be financed up to 80%.
Good to know
While all companies are eligible for PACTE Industrie training and coaching, not all are eligible for funding. You can check your eligibility directly on the dedicated website.
By undertaking a decarbonization approach as part of PACTE Industrie, your company benefits from technical and methodological support from experts in their fields. Indeed, ADEME refers seasoned consultancies that meet precise specifications, attesting to their ability to meet the program's requirements. In short, consultant-trainers who are as close as possible to your company's challenges, and who have the necessary skills and experience to support you in your energy optimization and decarbonization trajectory.
As an expert in industrial energy optimization, LEMON ENERGY intervenes at key stages in structuring your transition process : PROREFEI training, ISO 50001 certification support and energy mix opportunity studies.
PROREFEI is a course dedicated to training industry's Energy and Decarbonization Referents. Designed to enhance your teams' skills, it will provide your company with a referent capable of designing, piloting and coordinating energy optimization actions.
On the program :
Financing PACTE Industrie: Up to 80% of the training price, subject to conditions.
ISO 50001 provides practical details and a method for reducing your company's energy consumption, by implementing an Energy Management System (EMSn) aimed at continuous improvement. Industries implementing a genuine ISO 50001-compliant Energy Management System for the first time are rewarded with financial assistance, up to €40,000.
LEMON ENERGY supports you in your approach, from setting up an EMSn to obtaining the associated aid. We also offer an annual ISO 50001 follow-up, to help your teams embed good energy management practices.
Each industrial site being unique, it's vital to identify the levers to be activated on the scale of yours. This is the purpose of the energy mix opportunity study, which aims to identify decarbonization solutions that are relevant to your business and technically compatible with your processes: energy efficiency, waste heat recovery, renewable energies, or electrification and hydrogen? Find out with this comprehensive study, based on a multi-criteria analysis (technical, energy, environmental and economic).
.LEMON ENERGY will work with you for 2 to 3 months, to draw up a roadmap of relevant decarbonization solutions to deploy at your site.
PACTE Industrie funding: up to 80% of the cost of the study, subject to conditions.
Note
This study complements an energy audit or review, and is not a substitute for a technical feasibility study. If you have not yet carried out an energy audit (non-regulatory), you can carry out a global study combining an audit and an opportunity study for changing the energy mix. We'll carry out the complete study, with optimized costs and timescales.
Based on close collaboration between ADEME and its referenced service providers such as LEMON ENERGY, PACTE Industrie is thus an opportunity for industries to be effectively supported in the various stages of their low-carbon trajectory, while benefiting from financing.
